Sainik Schools: Preparing Future Leaders of India
Sainik Schools are a network of schools in India established and managed by the Sainik Schools Society under the Ministry of Defence. The first Sainik School was established in 1961 in Satara, Maharashtra. The students are required to follow a strict routine that includes morning exercises, physical training, and drill. The schools also have a system of punishments for any violations of the code of conduct.
Apart from discipline, Sainik Schools also emphasize values like patriotism, courage, honesty, and integrity. The students are taught to respect the national flag and anthem, and they are encouraged to participate in activities like flag hoisting ceremonies, parades, and community service.
Impact and Achievements
